Hey guys. I’m located in south-eastern Idaho (Caribou County) and am wondering if there are any members in my neck of the woods. Thanks!
Thank you! I actually live in Soda. You don’t happen to remember any good spots do you?I lived in SE Idaho for the first 25 years of my life. I still go back there to hunt with friends and family most years. You have plenty of coyotes to hunt around Soda Springs.
Thank you! I actually spoke to the game warden who put me in contact with several ranchers who gave me permission to hunt their land!I would suggest buying the local game warden lunch and picking his brain, also check in with your local F&G office for huntable state lands, I see there are some, a trip to the nearest BLM office and picking up maps of the BLM lands around Soda springs, there are some. Check with the Caribou National Forest (both sides of Soda Springs}. Part of the hunt for me is finding ground and love calling in new areas and states.
I've been through that country, I helped put on the AWS National Specialty in Driggs ID and just across the border in Star Valley WY. There looks like a lot of opportunities to hunt around there. The trout fishing is great.
Good luck
Thank you!OnX hunt will help immensely.
99.9% of people/hunters are NOT going to tell you about great hunting spots, start knocking on doors and building rapport with land owners, they know just about everyone and are probably related too them, or somewhat friends with a large majority of the other farmers/ranchers in a vast area of land.
Skip the process of producing business cards and phone calls, knock knock knock.
As far as anyone on this site being from your area is probably slim to none and chances are, they won’t share their ground with you.
Best of luck to you on your newest endeavors.
