I’m curious as to what caller you set out and leave for the season and how long it’s lasted.
what you are describing isnt an issue, if the call is that close and so is the target....kill it and dont worry about your scent. if the wind isnt right they'll smell you even in that blind long before you ever see them.I generally set up a ground blind and hunt from it for the season which is a month long. The game call is typically able 30 - 40 yards from the ground blind and it's on the other side of a small clearing from my ground blind

Turkey wouldn’t warrant avoiding leaving scent on the ground. It seems a little over the top to me given the information thus far. To each their own though. Hope he finds a solution. So far AWS seems to have the best idea in my opinion.I suspect he's not predator calling but calling for some other type of game since he mentioned a one moth season and hunting only one spot. Mabey turkey given the time of year.
