I've been out chasing pigs and coyotes and haven't paid much attention to the news. So... how's that MOU and ceasefire working out? Did it deliver what everyone said it would? Is oil moving freely through the Strait yet, or are we still waiting?

Last I heard everything is great, couldn't be better, there's gonna be a deal, a great deal, everyone will love it. Oh and the stock market is doing amazing
I don't see it. We don't have the combat power in theater for a ground invasion of a country the size of Iran. Air strikes are one thing. Occupying and sustaining forces inside Iran is something else entirely. Before Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom, we spent months building combat brigades, equipment, fuel, ammunition, and supply lines. I don't see that kind of buildup today.
If anything, we've seen equiptment and personnel repositioned to places like Jordan and Israel while other resources have been moved farther from the highest-risk areas. That looks more like protecting forces than assembling the logistics needed for a large-scale ground invasion.
Sure, we could seize an island or even parts of the coast, but then what? Holding ground is an entirely different mission. Maybe a targeted Special Forces operation to secure nuclear material, but if there were a realistic plan for a full-scale invasion, I think we'd already be seeing the months-long buildup that kind of operation requires.
To me, that's why a ground invasion doesn't make much sense. You don't invade a country the size of Iran without overwhelming logistics, secure staging areas, and a clear political endgame. Right now, I don't see any of those pieces in place.
