One of the stranger parts of the story is that Kesey wrote much of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest while working the night shift at a VA Hospital. The novel was always meant to be Chief Bromden's story, not McMurphy's. Chief pretends to be deaf and mute because it's how he survives a system that has convinced him he's powerless. By the end, after McMurphy lobotomy and mercy killing, Chief rips the sinc from the floor, throws it through the window, and escapes. That wasn't just an escape from a mental hospital—it was Kesey's way of showing someone breaking free from a system that had stripped away his identity. Ironically, that's also why Kesey never liked the movie. It turned McMurphy into the main character, when Chief was the one the story was really about.Yeah, might as well go with it at this point.
Another very early promoter of LSD was Ken Kesey. Author of "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest". According to Ken Wolfe in his book "The Electric Kool-Aide Acid Test", Kesey was first exposed to LSD as an orderly in a mental hospital where MK Ultra was conducting some of it's operations. He supposedly was pilfering the stuff from work and using it recreationally with his friends. And "One Flew" was largely inspired by his experiences working at the mental hospital.

I'm not familiar with ANTIFA or Sovereign citizens ideology or even the close down the prisons movement. They all seem wacko, can't fix stupid movements. Is this where the game checkstop thread evolved into??
The courts view hunting as a voluntary, highly regulated recreational activity. By choosing to hunt, you're also choosing to give up certain privacy protections for inspections. That's why a game warden can check your shotgun for a plug to make sure it's legal without probable cause, even though a police officer generally can't search your vehicle for contraband without it.
It's kind of messed up when you think about it. Hunting is part of who we are. Humans survived as hunters and gatherers for thousands of years. Over time, they slowly chipped away at that until what was once a fundamental means of putting food on the table became nothing more than a state-regulated recreational activity. That's a pretty extreme shift when you stop and think about it.
The irony is that Trump ran on ending endless wars. If we keep making decisions based on emotions instead of understanding the mindset and resolve of the IRGC, his legacy won't be peace through strength—it'll be the Iran War, the gamble that tanked the global economy and erased what little credibility America still had on the world stage. He will own that. The people running things want most of us dead. If the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al Mandeb Strait stay closed, many areas of the world will see famine. We will also see economic collapse. The population of earth and available oil (energy) are directly correlated.
The government doesn't create the relationship, thats none of their business nor do they care about it, but it does regulate the legal status because marriage carries legal rights and obligations, inheritance, property, parental rights, and other civil matters they want to tax.Yes. That is pretty jacked up. The control freak government likes to either ban most human behavior or regulate it as privilege requiring a license.
For example, the government says they have the right to require you need a license to get married. It is none of their business.

This won't be over until all sides accept the new balance of power in the Middle East. We overextended ourselves without fully preparing for the logistics and munitions expenditure required to sustain a long conflict across such a large country as Iran is, and many of the bases and positions we depended on have already been stripped down to skeleton crews and severely damaged. Wars aren't won with emotion or headlines—they're won with strategy, logistics, industrial capacity, and the political will to see them through. And don't confuse stubbornness or pride with political will. Those aren't the same thing. From where I sit, most Americans want this over already.
What we’re watching is absolute insanity. It’s like we’re all on the Titanic headed straight for the iceberg, but being told not to worry because, "the iceberg is begging to make a deal."The above is 100% pure truth.
I spent 30 years doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I had a friend who told me he didn't need all that martial arts stuff because he was "mean" and would just go "psycho" and bite if we were to fight. This exchange reinforced by belief that the more ignorant a person is regarding fighting and conflict, the more they think raw enthusiasm without strategy and tactics matter.
My response was, "I can bite too." But, I will be doing it from a superior position.
The more pussified a nation becomes, the more the men scream for war because it makes them feel tough. The weakest men scream the loudest. Lindsay Lady Boy Graham was the perfect example. He was the weakest and most pathetic excuse for a man. He likely loathed and despised himself. Therefore, cheerleading war made him feel strong.
The toughest people I have known were the most polite and friendly people you would ever meet. They have nothing to prove.
The fire bomb "suspect" in New York --- anti -govt(he talked about government harming citizens) also anti-America. Communist Cuba using CODE PINK,ICAP, The Peoples Forum, DSA(democrat socialists of America), National Lawyers Guild, National Network of Cuba. All these movements including LGBT + whatever has been added rely loners, mentally unstable and the vulnerable. Which is why we have been repeatedly told to watch, listen and report odd activities.
the people that scream for war, obviously havent been there.
i havent been and i am grateful for that. many family members have been in wars including three of the biggest battles and they all came out with no physical injuries.
WW 2 battle of the bulge
WW 2 naval battle leyte gulf
Korea chosin reservoir

History is full of unstable people who latch onto an ideology or cause, but that doesn't mean everyone associated with it shares the same beliefs or actions. There will always be a far right and a far left. The real problem is we've stopped listening to the rational observers in the middle. Once everyone starts painting with the widest brush possible, the extremists on both ends get exactly what they want.
Funny how the far left thinks everyone on the right is Timothy McVeigh, and the far right thinks everyone on the left is Che Guevara. Meanwhile, the rest of us are sitting in the middle wondering when common sense became a fringe position.
Polarization is the fuel. The extremists are just the spark. The rest of us keep handing them the matches.
Bless your family
