Had a quad on one stand during my last hunt. Here is how it went down:

A dozen down before the moon ever made it over the horizon.

Hot. Windy. Dusty as hell.

Just stars, darkness, and coyotes.

Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Just keep at it, Jeremy.... You'll figure out how to really get it done sooner or later.

You never stop learning. I don’t think there’s ever a level where you arrive and know everything. You have to stay green and remain teachable.

This forum seems to cater to an older crowd compared to some of the other platforms, and I think a lot of people here can relate to what it was like starting out without all the information available on the internet. We had to figure a lot of things out on our own.

People getting into coyote hunting today really don’t know how good they have it. They have more information at their fingertips than we ever had, along with equipment that we could have only dreamed about when we were starting out.

What Alf said. You killed 12 in one night and I haven't seen one in 5 nights ranging from 4hrs to 9hrs each:(

That’s determination. I have slow nights too—I just don’t post those, so you never hear about them.

Do you have an Ammo sponsor ?

Completely agree, man. The transition from piles of fairly easy fox to northeast coyotes was really a struggle for me. As luck would have it, I’m short on smarts at times but loaded with determination!

My post was all in jest. Truthfully, I had writer’s block trying to think of something different to say about your as usual, amazing, awesome, envy invoking posts! 🤣 So I went for humorous. So for real, that’s a great night of calling and shooting.

I've got it down pat now.
Going into my 4th season and haven't fired a shot!
BUT, I've had a great ride. You learn how much animals move in pitch dark-warm weather and cold.
Other than the ammunition I have saved-lack of shooting-it's been a lot of fun and I'm going again as
soon as I get a chance. No broken bone and no heart jobs this year...so far.

i shot my first coyote on superbowl Sunday feb 6th, 2011, my next coyote arrived on jan 18th 2020 right before covid and i've been successful every year since.

i'm still not getting as many as i would like and thats my fault, i just have to get out more.

what happened after that 9 year lull that made me more successful ? limbhanger10 befriended me on another site and we've been hunting together ever since. he actually called in my second one the first night we hunted together.

he got me away from a mediocre rifle, red lights and shooting sticks into tri pods and night vision, arca rails, then thermal scanners and scopes and better rifle barrels, triggers and mdt chassis systems 🤣🤣
