What's your least favorite reloading step and what have you done to make it easier or faster?

Hello, im a pretty new reloader here and I have a question for the experienced guys. When measuring new cases I found that half or so are pretty short like .02 or alittle more from what the Manuel says. Im reloading .243 and bought nosler brass, the Manuel says 2.045 max but alot of them are 2.023-2.026 or in that area. Even after they have been shot once or twice. Is this normal? Im trying to find a good load but feel like the different case lengths maybe throwing me off some?id just like some input from some guys that have more experience. Thank you for any help anyone can give me.

Identical case lengths likely doesn't matter much, or at all. Your cases are within SAAMI spec but on the low end. If you're ocd about it, set your trimmer to 2.025 or 2.026, let the short ones grow and trim the long ones.
 
Every part of brass preps sucks. The best thing you can do is slowly upgrade your equipment to make each part easier. I hated second guessing my powder so I went with the a&d fx120i and ingenuity precision trickler. Next was trimming so I got a Henderson. It’s so fast, trims, chamfer and deburs in 1 step. Then it was annealing, so I got a flame which the fumes bothered the family so I got a Burstfire 2-1 induction and case prep center.
 
Also don’t cheap out on dies. 1 die will last a life time so purchase good quality dies. Short action custom have become my go too for sizing and Wilson inline arbor for seating
