6mm Cm coyote loads

I’m working on a Ruger Gen2 predator in 6mm creedmoor. I want to try 87 gr vmax first since I have 200 of them. Does anyone have first hand experience with this combo? Twist is 1-7.7 I have a couple of pounds of Varget so maybe that will work..

I run them in my 8 twist using H4350.
I believe they are at 3,170 or there abouts...nasty on coyotes.
I could push them faster but the accuracy is there.
26" barrel on my 6 creed.

I have the same exact gun but have been running the 80 grain ELD VT's great accuracy but have to take alot of follow up shots to anchor them thinking about going to the 75 grain vmax, running 40 grains of varget at 3231fps

I have used 75g vmax out of my 243 at 3350 fps and they are great on coyotes.
I don't think I ever had to shoot one twice.
Along with the 87g vmax both are one of the best bullets I have found for Drt's.

I was using the 62g Eld VT in my 22br and had the same issues. Switched to 73g Bergers.

The 75 v-max is not likely to do better. If you're going to make a switch, I would recommend the 87 v-max or 90 eld-x. I shot the 87s for a number of years out of a 243 and 6 Grendel. They hit with authority.

So I finally got out to do some testing. I settled on 87 gr vmax with 44.5 gr of H4350. Very tight groups. I can hold dead center from 25 yards to 300 yards. 300 is as far as my range goes to. I was ringing steel at those distances. Burgers are maybe a little tighter group but I had 200 vmax and 100 burger 80’s. I stayed around 20 thousands off of the lands..

The 75gr Vmax is stellar out of the 243. I went 33-34 coyotes straight, without an exit and no runners or floppers.

Then I tried the 55gr Btip pushed at 4,000fps+, and I had more runners and floppers than I cared for, and I even lost one coyote with it.

I am back to the 75gr Vmax in one 243 (Sauer 100), and I'm using the 70gr Btip out of another (TC Icon).

I'm a big fan of the 70BT's out of my 6x6.8 in the mid 3200 range.

I see no reason to try anything else.

Not a 6 creed but a 6 rem 1x12, 26". Nosler BT our Varmigeden 55 gr. There is no need to shoot again if you hit anywhere close to the right spots. 4200 fps pops them like a balloon full of blood.

That's what I shoot in my 6 CM and those 70gr BT's w/RL16 shoot so well I don't really even have any interest in trying anything else.

I have been shooting the 87 vmax out of a 243 for quite some time and in the last 2 years i have also used them in the 6arc. My buddy has been using the ELDVTs in his 6 creedmor and shot 3 two weekends ago and neither of us were impressed. Shots averaged 400 yards and the vmax has had better performance at the same distances and shot placements.
