I got a call from a good friend in Mississippi today. He says he actually put his hands on the new Primos Predator Vest in Brush Camo.He was trying to get one for me but all but one had been shipped to Bass Pro.He said one would be headed my way soon. That is really all I know about the vest. What else was interesting was he said he also saw the new Electronic call they would be selling soon.He has seen my Foxpro before and said it was bigger and longer in length but was not sure about if it was remote and how it worked.

Venatic? Is that vest the same one that they are advertising on The Outdoor Network as the bow hunting vest?

When you get it, look to see if it has a slot in the upper back for a safety harness to go through...... Curious..

I do however like it when we at Predator Masters start to talk about a subject and bing bang boom a company comes out with it a few short months later or the very same subject appears in a magazine.....James L.

No its different. I saw it today in the new Primos catalog. Its called the Randy Anderson series and its got places for Electronic callers ,remote controls ,shooting sticks ,rifle&shotgun shell holders etc.Looks nice not perfect but better than anything I am aware of on the market.

if anyone has a link to this vest please let us know.... I have been trying to find it for 2 days and have found nothing.... HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

The primos webpage does not have it yet as you probrably already know. Try going to a local dealer who sells primos and they have it in the new catalog or call Primos and they will send you a catalog.I do not know at this time if you can see it online. If I find out otherwise I will let everyone know.

I looked at the main Bass Pro Store in Springfield on Saturday the 16th and asked a salesman about the vest and he said they didn't have any and didn't know about any new predator hunting vest.

from what I knew they had been working on this since the first of the year. and that was straight from randys mouth in april. I remember talkin about it but it was in spring.

Talk of "vests " have been on here for several years.

I remember the talk back in the spring, but in a thread dating back to just right before the first of the year ( Dec. 05 to be exact ) asked how everyone carried their equipment into the field.. That thread was in the Predator Hunting Forum and was two pages long.. In it was discussed how some used Turkey vests and there was some initial interest by a few that asked if they had any benefits to plain old backpacks..

The answer is yes they do..

Most any turkey vest that you pick up will have ample space to put your electronic calls, hand calls, toilet paper, coagulant (

April at Yoter's Den was making custom vests to order. I don't see them on the new website, but I'd check with her before buying anything off the shelf. Perhaps she still makes them?

Hi Weasel!

During my move back to Pennsylvania, my seamstress who was handling my vests and other new apparel I was considering for production cut out on me. So it left me holding the bag in so many words.

I've been swamped this year just with the products in my Hunt Smarter,..Hunt Longer series, that I have had to put every thing else on hold, including my new predator vest, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif

The good news is that I'm being licsensed for the Ghost Camo fabric so this will assist in me being able to offer more of a selection of pattern choices here in the near future,

Anyway, I'm sorry for running on. To answer your question, Weasel No, not at this time.

When I get back to my Preda-a-Vest and other I'll be sure to let you all know.

The last custom Vest I have is for Arkyyoter, I've been waiting on special harware I use, and my supplier is back ordered as well Due to the WAR! in the sand box.

My vest is a buck lick creek turkey vest.
Plenty of room for calls and decoys.
Plus the seat folds down and gives you back support, just like sitting in a lazy boy.
Hard to beat for the money and makes it alot easyier for zero movement on stands.

Here's the seat/vest I never leave home without.

It has a padded seat attached, so you never leave it behind. It is buckled to the pack so it can also be used seperately.
It has pokets for 'stuff', a drink bottle and a hydration bladder inside if you are on an extended dry area day hunt.

But most important to me is that it has a lightweight frame in the pack designed so that the user can lean back and be supported.
This is absolutely the most comfortable and useful seat/vest/pack I've found. My clients try them on their hunts up here and usually end up buying one before they leave.
I use one for calling predators of course, but in combination with a ghillie suit they are deadly for Migratory birds in the fields or on the shoreline. no more blinds. Just lean back in the seat with the ghillie on, in the middle of your dekes, and wait for the birds. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They actually show the vest listed in the RA signature series brochure, that comes with the Primos dvd "mastering the art." Like RA's diaphram howler's, it states to "call for info & pricing."

It does NOT show it on the website that the brochure is linked to though.

Hope that helps a bit!

I just checked the link above. As a dedicated caller, I'd say they nailed it on this vest. It looks like a good one. It's hard to tell from the photo, but if they have the flip down seat, with adjustable straps to adjust the lean, then they have a winner.

It is a shame that it is "Imported".

Just my 2 cents....

HMMM? I don't see where it has a seat or a frame to support the hunter's back? Looks like another fishing vest to me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
