A buddy called me about some rifles he had seen in a local shop. Said they were Mausers and I should go look. Well I did and they were gorgeous, but they weren't Mausers. Two were O3A3 and one was Steyr. A 243 Win, a 308 Win and a 7x57. All three were scoped and setting in some of the prettiest walnut stocks you ever seen. None had military barrels and all three looked to have been ceracoated black. And they are $450 each. Seems to me the stocks alone are worth the asking price. My friend thought I might be interested in them to shoot or flip but sporterized O3A3's aren't real fast movers around here and I don't know much at all about the Steyr. Super nice rifles but not for me.

They do make nice rifles. I had a custom 358 Norma Mag and like the ones you looked at it had gorgeous piece of walnut. Another one of those someone offered more than I could refuse and built a 35 Whelen to take its place.
