1-4 scope

I'm looking for a 1-4 or 1.5-5 scope with some sort of range finding reticle or bdc, some sort of turrets and illumintaion.

I've looked at

millett dms
leupold mkAR
leatherwood?
primary arms

i could get the leupold and send it to custom shop and have them put a mil reticle in and put an m1 turret on it...
 
Curious about your application..low power scope and adding BDC, Range finding or Mil-Dot made me wonder.

I have the Millett DM-1[1-4X on an M4..and I might estimate a target's range based on how far I could see...bigger or smaller than a soda can. The Millett has an illuminated reticle with a donut hole reticle...at 100 yards the dot subtends 1" when on 4X and the outside of the "donut" at 4X subtends 12.6" at 100.

With this set up, my aging eyes and skill set I feel comfortable to 200 yards on a deer-size target although I would never attempt such a shot except on predators.

Couple of guys at my club like that scope for some run and gun events- I'm no longer a runner..I mosey.
 
I want to be able to adjust for windage and elevation while being able to have a compact, low powered optic. I guess thinking about it, i can just use hold overs toa bout 300-400 or so, or I just noticed the Vortex PST 1-4, mil reticle and mil turrets, just needs to come out...

Not having it wouldnt be that big of deal though.

I like that, bdc type reticle, so that is good...

I'm also thinking primary arms for the price. All the reviews I've read are great, and the price is unpassable... illuminated reticle, but not a bdc type...

Leupold can also put a wide variety of reticles in any Leupold scope you purchase, the VXII 1-4 scope is a very nice scope at a fair price.
 
My weaver extreme works good for a cheaper scope,its illuminated with a 30 mm tube.Reticle is just a Cross hair/dot though.It does have some nice target knobs for getting out a little farther.

U.S. Optics SN-4......great glass, bullet-proof construction, and you have a selection of reticles/knobs/options to pick from
