If you had a 22” barreled 25-06 that shot 120 Speer BTSP’s like this:

But it was only at 2850 fps, would you keep trying for more speed or just shoot it?
That’s actually 2 three shot groups shot by two different people. I had one hole going but my buddy opened it up…

Sidebar: This is a deer load that has the exact same POI as my target/varmint load of 56 grains of RL22 and 100g SMK’s running 3200ish.

Max load with any powder is 3050 fps with a 120 in the lyman manual but they did their testing with a 26" barrel. You might be leaving a little on the table but if the load works for you I'd leave it as is.
 
I’ve had really good luck using Nosler #1’s accuracy loads. I know that’s for a 117, but that’s why I started in the middle at 50 grains. It is pretty mild on pressure and recoil. I think it will serve well on deer. I’ve had 85 grain Sierra Gameking’s explode on shoulder when I pushed them in my .243 win.

I use 100gr Partitions at 2800-2850 fps out of my 25-204 it has been reliable for me.
 
My issue is not in the velocity. It is in my head. If I have a load that can consistently group like that it makes a difference in my shooting in the field just because I have more confidence. That velocity is plenty to ruin any deer's day out past 350 yards and beyond.
 
I agree. I really like the fact that it can shoot both my pet loads extremely well without any point of impact shift. That's amazing to me, them being almost 400 fps of difference in muzzle velocity and 20% difference in projectile weight.
