Shot some groups today with the hornet. Shot pretty good. 20 grain hornady out of a savage walking varminter with a Zeiss conquest 3-9x50.

I should get out with the Hornet this weekend. I was expecting a little more drift than that with a 10mph cross wind,..nice shooting

Maybe the noticeable change in recoil helped with the target panic?!? Them 250's can shake a fellas back teeth loose

I believe it's 1.....5 shot group, at 150 yards.

150 yards, that is a smoking group with a factory rifle.

I did this one at 100 yards with my CZ in 17 Hornet and factory ammo. It was the second group after zeroing for the first time.

Ya it definitely makes up for the 250. I was thinking of using the hornet for cape buffalo but it may create too much hide damage.

Those are both good groups at 100-150 yrds.
Especially for factory rifles shooting factory ammo.
Lots of folks don't realize how hard it is to get those tiny little holes to touch.
And yea,,, a series of groups would be a better sampling, but it definitely shows the rifles are capable of some pretty good accuracy.

PS,,, Aubrey, flaunting the fact that Texas's economy isn't suffering from over spending and poor management like the liberal states by using a dime instead of a penny isn't any way for a new member to ingratiate himself on a forum.

You would think you would at least be able to hit the dime then...

I'd like to see some more of them ALL DAY groups, that one is is the high .2's by my calculations

(~.6" group-.17" @ 150 yards) . BTW... that's a pretty small bullseye for a 9x scope at 150 yards (even without the dime there). I'm pretty impressed to say the least!!!!
