well made it to the range today to get the barrel broke in and get used to using a brake.

first up are 107 SMK's over H4350 in order 39.0gr., 39.5gr., and 40.0gr.
last group is my hunting load for my other 6.5 lapua, 129gr. SST over 39.5gr. H4350.

I ignored some fliers as they where all me!

will be doing ladder test and chrono work in a few weeks, then we wil see what she can really do!

Again date and time in pics are wrong, maybe one day i will figure the darn thing out!

Most impressive looking rifle you have there kyyotestalker.
Please can you give me some ideas on the velocity your getting out of your short barrel.
Im particularly interested in your hunting load with the 129gr. SST over 39.5gr. H4350.

I am waiting on my rifle to be finished at the moment its getting a new kreiger 5r barrel fitted now chambered in 6.5x47 L.
I have been running this cartridge for 4 years now and love it
my hunting load was 120gr NBT with RL 15.

Regards Sam.

From my research and talkin with others about the MOA Maximum pistols with 15" BBL's id guess im running 2600+. I will know for sure once I finish load work and get chrono data. The hunting load I listed is actually for my 26" 6.5x47 lapua and was not ment for this rifle. I figure I can push it faster and with better accuracy with some load work as its a light load.

Thats good to know, nice velocity for such a short barrel.
my last rifle had a 29" barrel but was later cut to 26' and a muzzle brake installed.
The same rifle is now being rebuilt with a new tube (krieger 5R) and im opting for a 27" + brake.

This rifle is used for spotlighting and range work but im very interested in building another SBR for hunting work and will take over for spotlighting from the long gun.

Regards Sam.
