.17 Cal. Nylon Bore Brush/Brass Core

Anyone know where to get these without breaking the bank? Found some online but the shipping is so expensive I'd have to dip into the 401K to purchase. Thanks in advance for the responses!

Bad Dawg, Midway has very reasonable shipping charges.

The Montana 17 plastic brushes are very tough that I have used for heavily fouled barrels.

The regular bronze bristle brushes are good for 100 strokes each, then they are only touching the tops of the lands, so buy them by the dozen.

And Prime shipping

Yip. Usually a ball cap as I wear them all the time.

I've heard that some of the nylon bore brushes have a steel base. Anyone else ever hear of this? Someone on rimefire central said he tested them with a magnet. I'd never want to put something like that down my bore if it's true.

If you use a bore guide and rod guide, it is a non issue completely. Additionally, the steel is much softer than barrel steel. However, I don't really like nylon brushes for more than a quick push to knock out powder fouling. But different strokes (pun intended...?). Like bronze brushes with the brass core...however I do not have a 17 cal.
