17 hmr bolt gun? Marlin or Savage

I love my savage 93 with the Boyd's Rimfire Hunter stock. I'm going to be real interested in the Ruger American when LGS eventually gets one.

I bought a Marlin 917VS when they first came out and have been very happy with it (reliably shoots better than 1/2" at 100 yards). The bolt is a little stiff but can be worked on and I replaced the trigger with a rifle basix. A little glassbed and the job was done.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Pick which one you like.
