The cci velocitor is the only 22 lr round that I have found to reliably kill large coon with body shots. If legal the 22 mag is better. Cheap lead rn will often defect off treed coon skulls.

i've killed hundreds of them in my life - growing up we used to have around 200 laying hens. as anyone will tell you, when you have that many of the buggers around, you have a steady stream of racoons, opossum & such visiting you.
our property, where the house and the two barnes closest to it are situated is right behind a several hundred yard long swamp in a little valley where there are springs. so they also come there searching food searching for the peepers and bullfrogs all summer long. Its been a lifelong battle keeping them out of the folks barns.
i just recently picked up an A17, and my boyds just arrived on friday - i'm off to the range to test it out either later this afternoon or sometime this week. i'm thoroughly excited about having 10 little mini rimfire grenades at the touch of my finger
