.17 HMR for Coyoty/Bobcat/Fox Hunting?

OK BHLBAMA that is not good info, the only thing the pretains to the the HMR is the first paragraph. But I didn't actually expect you to read the whole thing that would be too much work for you.

I was commenting on the the HMR in the hands of an inexperienced hunter. I have killed all these animals with and HMR. I can't believe you did enough research to find an old post of mine. Are you winded???

I have shot about everything with the .17 HMR when it first came out. Can not recommend it for predators as it is not enough gun in my opinion. I can't say it even anchors PD's 100% of the time unless you head shoot them. I am sure a .22 will kill an elephant but don't think it would work well.

A suggestion might be a .221 Fireball or maybe a .22 Hornet.

The only problem I see with the .17 Rem or the .17 Fireball is one has to reload for the .17 Rem to get good performance. With the .17 Fireball, the 20 gr V-Max bullet is not a predator bullet. It is for PD's in my opinion.
