You're right, but with a conversion of the FP it's possible. The extractor is the same way. It's a good start but you'll want a better rifle once you get the thing going, my advise is to convert a CZ or Ruger. In the begining it will cost you more but the long run you'll save a but load of pain, mental anguish, and hassle. Most smiths won't convert the Rossi (or HR's) due to the time involved. That's why they are a good home project, if you have the tools. Adam
