Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and I have been reading for sometime and finally decided to join. I am fairly new to predator hunting, but have some good friends that have been showing me the ropes.
So I have been reading for the past two weeks every single thing I can find on the net about which caliber to use... obviously as we all know there is no perfect choice and everyone has their opinions. I have been hunting with the model 10 predator .22-250 for about two months now, and its very loud and not very fur friendly. So I have been trying to decide on a weather or not I want to save fur on foxes or want to make sure I can defiantly kill the coyotes, because we do hunt them both at the same time.
very hard decision for me since have changed my mind 50 times in the past week.
I have been leaning toward buying a .17 hornet since two of my hunting buddies have been having good luck with them and have killed 6-7 yotes with the .17 hornet so far. SO I think I am selling the .22-250 and going to give the .17 a try.
now the next decision is... Savage in a laminate stock (very pretty and accurate), the CZ (pretty much all around on accuracy, looks and action) or the ruger (best looking out of them all)
I know this has been discussed many times, and trust me I have read them all. But for the life of me I can't decide weather I should just stay with the .22-250, buy one of .17 hornets, or maybe something else. My head literally hurts... please help
