17 Remington load feeback

Thanks for the feedback. It was a typo and should had said 26 gr.
I just started reloading for the 17 so I appreciate the feedback on load increments.
I did go out this morning and shot what I had loaded. I was not really happy with any of the loads but the 26gr load shot the best of the three at 1" at 100 yards. This is not acceptable in my opinion. The 26.5 gr loads were worse and the 26.7 gr loads were worse yet.
Back to the bench to try some different things.

W760 was one we tried a bunch of years ago behind the 25gr. bullet. It just never seemed to be as accurate no matter how much we crammed in there, so IMR4320 was always what we fell back on. Of the newer powders I can't say enough about the accuracy I get with IMR8208 behind the 25gr.
26.6 gr. of H414/W760 behind either a Nagel 30gr.hp or a BlackHole 30gr.hp is perfect in my 17Rem.
If you are going to run W760/H414, pick up some 30's and give them a try.

I wanted to circle back around the let you all know what I came up with for my best load. After trying 760, AA2700 and 4320 along with different powder charges, I ended up with the best load out of my gun being 23.7 gr of 4320 using Remington 7 1/2 primers and Hornday 25 gr HP bullets. It shot a 10 shot group under an inch at 100 yards and that is good enough for me.
Instead of chasing different loads and powders, I am settling on this one and yesterday after coming off the range I loaded up about 225 rounds of this combination. I should be set for quite some time give I have other varmint guns I shoot as well.
Thanks all for your suggestions.
