.17 Winchester Super Magnum (WSM)

I have heard the same comment about Winchester loading all of the 17 WSM ammo, and just changing the packaging, and the head stamp. That is all I know is I get similar results, with Federal being the worst, Hornady is in the middle, and Winchester groups the best, with the 25 gr. showing a bit tighter groups, but the 20 gr.s plenty good for small varmints.

One word of warning, when you actually shoot varmints with this round, get ready for some serious red mist. I shot a rabbit off my deck, at maybe 25 yards, only about half of the rabbit was still there, and the trees and shrubs were painted with the rest. Nasty little rimfire round!

I've been happy with my B-mag. I fired a handful of groups with the tupperware while I waited for a Boyd's Lightweight Thumbhole to arrive - it shoots a little better with the barrel properly floating than it did in the factory plastic.

I was holding over, and doing a relatively poor job of it, but nonetheless, this is a 1.1MOA 8 shot group at 200yrds with my B-mag. The rifle shoots tighter at 100yrds, or when I dial instead of holdover - I don't really do well holding over with the BDC reticle, since my eye HATES trying to space the irregularly spaced stadia.
