1st Impression of Kies adjustable gas block

Well I ordered a Kies adjustable gas block from Joe Bobs. I shipped before they said it was supposed to be in so +1 for them.
I ordered it because I wanted to try a adjustable on my Compass Lake 18" rifle length gas 223 barrel. I haven't had any issues with it but want to try something different. The block it self is a low profile style, about the size of my Vltor LP block. It fit under my DPMS FF tube. It is matte blue in finish. It went on well, with no excessive clearances.
The were no instructions on how to set the adjustmentit. So I set it a 2 turns out and it cycled well, I put a .5 turn in and it would not fully extract. So I set it back at 2 turns and never had an issue. I shot 7, 3 shot groups and all were between .75 and .5 an inch at 100. All the brass landed in a 8" pile, 4 feet directly to the right of the rifle. I would think that would mean it is regulating the gas well.
There was no sign of any leakage around the block. It seems to be a well made part. The only change from the norm is the micro threaded screw, which holds the gas tube in instead of a roll pin. All in all it seems to be a well made piece, and the price is $30.00 less then any other adjustable block I could find.

I wish I could find one for a .936 barrel. I would love one for my .243 WSSM, but it looks like there is only the .750 up for sale. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but would you guys recommend using one of these on an 18" mid length .264 lbc build, or just a regular gas block. just about to complete my joe bob's order, thanks guys.

I just got mine in and it is going on my 6.5 to better regulate the action. I got tired of swapping springs and buffers trying to get the "just right" combo.

I'll post my results, but likely won't be until first of the year that I can get out and shoot it.
