1st time bow hunter... Broadhead opinion?

I know everyone will have their opinions about a totally different Broadhead besides these two, but for a beginne bow hunter, should I shoot muzzys or swackers? And why?

between the two i would say muzzys have a better track record, i know a lot of 'old' guys that swear by em haha. I just started archery about a year ago, so i wouldnt have much experience in this detail but i asked the guys at the local bow shop and they recommended:

fixed blade:
shuttle t lock
muzzy 3 blade

mechanical:
ram cat (hybrid mechanical)- this is the one i use, i havent shot anything with it yet but they fly pretty well. These are actually pretty cool because they are sharp on both sides of the broadhead.

G5 mechanical

They didnt mention much about the rage broadheads. To me they look good, i saw Tom Miranda take a grizzly with a Rage titanium 2 blade on TV so i would say they would be another good option

Fixed 2 blade Magnus will never let you down with proper shot placement. Beginner or not this is my opinion from 25 years of bow hunting.

I'm with you on the Magnus. great head

I'm using Rage 2 blade broadheads this year. I shot a nice buck last week and I'm very impressed with the damage this broad head did. That being said Muzzy's and Snuffers have always worked well for me also.

I personally shoot Rages, but of the two you proposed, I'd go with the Muzzy's. I'm not a fan of over the top mechanicals, and I have had bad experiences with the swackers not opening.

X2 slick tricks are some bad @#s heads want shoot no other fixed blade

I couldn't tell you since I can't even get a shot at anything. But my buddy just took a Utah Elk at 60+ yards with a Swacker. He likes them and he's a Muzzy guy too.

Grim reapers, not a choice but some to consider. If it were a choice out of the two it would have to be muzzys. Friends shoot them and they don't complain.

I shoot Magnus 2 blade classic. My choice would be the muzzy it just a good no frill's solid broadhead that works. I have shot a bunch of deer through the years with muzzy 125's and thunderhead 125's. Plus at little easier on the wallet if your on a budget
