2 lb JARD trigger for an AR

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the JARD triggers? I'm looking at the 2lb fully adjustable SINGLE stage version. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated...

Very good system. You may have to chase the threads in the receiver where the grip screw is located. Kind of a bugger if to much parkerizing is present

"Work just find" does that mean you're happy with them, or you wished you would have went another route? It's just hard to find a good AR trigger in a Single stage model, it seems everything i've looked at is a two stage...

2lb may be a bit light for an AR platform, I currently use JP single stage triggers in the 3 to 3.5 lb range. I have a friend with the JARD and it is also an exceptional trigger, his is around 2.5 lb which is too light for myself in hunting situations, especially in winter time with gloves.

I would agree that 2Lbs is getting to light, unless ity is on a bench gun and not for field use. 3.5 or 4 would be better maybe as light as 3

The only time my AR gets used is during the spring and summer months, either on a dog town or off a bench. I think I can get this adjustable trigger up to 2.5, that's the goal anyway. I have a 1lb trigger in another bolt rifle and got used to that awful quick /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks for all of the input guys, I really appreciate it!!

I just installed a Jard last night and had a little trouble adjusting the disconnect to release the hammer when I released the trigger. Jard technical support was very helpful and I will attack it again tonight. The trigger is good for an AR, although not as nice as my 2-stage Jewell or Geisselle. I put in the 2 lb trigger spring, but I might change it to the 3 lb spring if it seems too light. It is for my coyote rig and I will most likely be shooting with gloves on.

Were you able to finish your trigger project last night? Mine is coming tomorrow and I was wondering if you learned any tricks you would be willing to share?

Thanks

I bought mine used from a guy and couldn't get the disconnect to work properly once I put the upper on. It wouldn't catch if I was holding the trigger back. This is big time no-no. Jard told me to send it back for a replacement even though I didn't buy it from them and they had no responsibility to help at all. It may have been the trigger, but it may also be the lower receiver. I have other problems with it, like the mag well is a little undersize and I have to force the mag in. I am sending that back, too. Customer service at Jard is outstanding. If the trigger is anywhere near as good, once I get it back, I know I will be happy.
