20 MOA base with Pulsar Trail?

A 20 moa base is completely unnecessary. The Trail already lets you see waaaaaaay further than you should ever shoot at night.

I used one on my APEX when I first got it because the bolt handle on my rifle would hit the scope housing without the 20moa rail. It worked, but it put the cross hairs quite a bit above the center line of the picture. I've since had a gunsmith bend my bolt slightly to clear the scope and went back to a 0moa rail.

Thanks.. I went ahead and just got a 0 moa rail..

Bowhunt - reason I was asking is the thermal isn't the only scope I put on the rifle.. but since my NF has plenty of elevation for the distances I shoot the 0 moa is just fine.

Oh.....gotcha. That makes sense. I was curious because I have a couple rifles with 20 minute rails, but I only use those for shooting into the next zip code. LOL. Most scopes have enough elevation for as far as I care to shoot at critters.
