20 Practical Powders

Anyone out there loading for this caliber? I am going to start gathering a few powders to try when my rifle is built.

I currently have some Varget, Benchmark, and 8208 on hand. I have read quite a bit about how good the N133 can be and how clean burning it is. Has anyone used it with any success in the small 20 calibers? I know it's a bit more expensive, but this won't be a super high volume shooting rifle.

I plan to shoot 35 and 40 grain Berger bullets out of a 24" barrel AR, if that makes any difference.

Just got mine shooting great Sunday. I was using 35 gr bergers and 27 grains of varget. Had it shooting 3/4" groups at 100 yards. It's close to max load so be careful and keep an eye out for signs of pressure.

Benchmark, with the 35's, shot great in mine, and also with the 40's. 8208 worked great also, as did H335. BHW barrel on yours?

I'm using 26.0g of 8208 with 35g Bergers. I'm getting 1/2 MOA accuracy and average velocity of 3915. This is in a Tac 20 which is practically identical. I've tried Benchmark, H4198 and H322. I was happiest with the IMR8208.

Actually I ended up going with X-Caliber for my barrel. Kind of out of the ordinary and off the wall! Just my style!!! I have read good things about them and feel like they may just be ahead of the value that they should be charging for them, but who knows.... My buddy and I will be receiving matching 24" bull barrels with spiral cut flutes and 11* target crowns. We will definitely keep everyone posted as the builds come together and we get some loads worked up!

Using H4198 and 40 vmax in a AR and getting super accuracy. Benchmark and 8208 shot very well also. Gotta love those 20 cals. for accuracy!

All these work good.
BlC2, w748, benchmark, h4198, CFE, Xterminator, x8208, N133, H335, aa2015, h332, varget, h4895,

24g n133 w/40g vmax was at 3577.280" @ 100 yds
I did not try it w/32 or 35g bullets though.
