20 practical update!!

OK guys, I have been working up a load for this 20 practical shooting 32 gr Vmax's and here are my findings. I worked and worked trying to get my accuracy where I was satisfied with the Benchmark powder but I finally decided to throw in the towel. I have now switched to 2 powder and have excellent results, VV 133 and the new powder (to me anyway) Alliant AR comp. The AR comp is giving me slightly better accuracy with lessened velocity as opposed to the VV. The AR comp loaded at 25.5 grains is nearing case full capacity before crushing powder. This yields a velocity of about 3870 fps and enabled me to get consistent groups under .4 moa with a lowest of .231. This powder is awesome, it burns very clean and consistent. The VV is a smaller grain taking up less case and gets it done quick. My accuracy load with this powder is strangely enough 25.5 gr as well. This crono's @ 4180 fps and has also given me groups under .4 as well, just not as many as the AR comp. Well, anywho, there ya have it guys. Hope this helps. Give this AR comp powder a try, you'll be glad you did.

Never had any luck with the 32gr vmaxes. Still have about 40. Switched to berger 35gr and life is good running benchmark. Also run 26gr barnes with benchmark for pd's.

I've been toying with building a .20 for a while, haven't done so obviously. So with the total expectation of being called a pansy

what's the recoil like compared to a .223?

Non-existent. It is such a pleasure to shoot.

What kind of velocities are you seeing with the 35's and benchmark? Recipe?

What recoil???....the 20p I built had noise & that's about it.
If you build a 20 I have sierra/hornady/barnes/nosler bullets Ive been trying to get rid of.
The vmax & nosler varmagedon shot the best in my 20P vs any of the "expensive" bullets.

What kind and how many booleets are you selling?

I have 6bx 26g Barnes, 8bx 32g noslers, 1200 32g hornady, Sierras are spoken for.
Ill post in FS after I give Indy a shout.
