200 pounder

Went to put up a camera check some others. Also looking to thin a hog or 2 if they showed up. Went to one stand before daylight (where I killed the 221 pounder that tore down my feeder).

I need to replace my cell cam after the last one crapped out, but luckily they cover it under warranty after a year and half and sent me a new one. Feeder is back up with t post anchored legs. I thought I had killed the one that tore the feeder down, but before the camera crapped out I got pictures of one that looks bigger. He wasn’t there the last time I went and thought he might show.

He didn’t show this morning either. Did see 3 does and when they left I shot a coin that was stealing my corn. Then replaced camera and headed to my other stand to put out another camera and change sd cards.

We won’t mow until the end of the month, so the grass and weeds are still tail. When I got where I could see the feeder there was a boar 20 yards away. I knelt down quick but could see over the weeds, so had it stand back up to shoot him. When I walked up to him another was to my left not 12 yards away in the brush that grunted sr me. He didn’t know what had happened and it was so thick and close I couldn’t see him good in the scope. I could see a pine tree and need to just shoot right of the tree to hit him. He squealed at the shot and thrashed off grunting. I found some bone so either spliced on the shoulder or got into the leg.

Anyway, the first one 200 pounds according to the girth tape measurement.

I pulled this picture from my camera: the moment of impact.

Maybe next time I can get the real big one at the other spot.
