I love my 40gr Hornady V-Max but, Shoulder hits will tend to splash at times.

Every one I've hit with my '04 has dropped like a toilet seat. V=Max seems to do the job.

I shoot the 40gr Noslers. They do tend to be a bit hard on fur, but that don't concern me as I do not keep the hides. I've never had a splash with on either. I had even gut shot one with the Nosler and it dropped him in his tracks. He did make an attempt to get back up but he then caught another one to the throat.

I like the Berger 35's. I had to many splashes with the vmax's
