Same here and I usually bring four different chamberings when I go. I'll have something to shoot by gosh. And I've even been known to do a PD or two with my carry gun or a revolver. Best to day is 75 yards with a 38 Special..LOL

Greg

Man I hear that. I was down to the 38 once, shooting 148 gr wc. Once I got the elevation down it was deadly. Longest was 83 yards. It was fun watching those big slow slugs skip across the pdog town like a flat rock across the water lol.

Yes the Prac is a simple neck down and the Tac is a simple neck down also but it requires fire forming after that, That why I suggested the 20 Prac for a AR style rifle. You don't have to worry about picking your brass up all the time.. then getting new loads for you fire formed brass..

Thanks for the clarification.

The shoulder movement on the 20 Tactical compared to my 20 Practical is right on 0.020 also on my fired cases. I use regular bushing 223's sizing dies for the Practical and Tactical dies from Redding. I use the same 20 caliber Redding seating die.

like the man said, no real world difference. only reason to choose one over the other might be feeding. not a real fan of the ALA weatherby style long throat in the 204.

i have gone to the 20 vartarg myself.
