I'm interested in building a .204 Ruger AR for predator (fox, coyote, & bobcat) hunting. From my research I see they need a little longer barrel to maximize the capabilities of the bullet. Can you get shorter barrels (if not I could have it cut down) & if so - how does it affect accuracy, speed, & any issues w/ chamber cycling? 90% of my shots are w/in 150 yards if that makes a difference. I know it's not the best caliber for real windy days but I can take a 5.56 or .243 those days. I'm not 100% set on .204 but I've got a few 5.56s & it's time for something new. TIA!
