The 22-250AI is a slightly blown out 22-250. Which means, you shoot a standard 22-250 in it, and it fireforms to a slightly bigger cartridge that holds a little more powder.
Now, some of the advantages are, it will push a bullet faster, with less case stretch, so you may never need to trim, unlike a standard 22-250. Usually you get a better chamber cut by a gunsmith, compared to a factory chamber. This can make the rifle more accurate too.
I have both, and suggest the Improved version for the reloader.
