So.... I've read nothing but bad about AR10's in .22-250 so decided to toss one together because it seemed like a fun lil challenge.... So I just bought the cheapest upper from BCA I could find modded it a bit to fit on my PSA lower annnnddd ...

I'm only about 70 rounds in but most things I've read folk don't get thought there first 20rd box without pulling their hair out

Account the best ...but then again neither is the barrel

Anyhow got a whole lil blog written up here if anyone wants to read all the mind numbing details
But other then that .... For y'all who have build one of these and hand the classic..you know it not wanting.
to work deal happen ...what was your set up and what where the main issues ?

That's great... I've built about a dozen AR10's using all Aero M5 parts for the main base (Upper/Lower/BCG) in .308 Win, .338 Federal, 7mm-08, .358 Win, and .243, and like your build, they have all worked right out of the gate with factory ammo and handloads.

It's always nice to have a build work from the start considering the cost in parts and especially ammo or reloading supplies. It does seem the smaller bore to chamber ratio cartridges can be difficult to get right from the start. 20" is about as short as I'd like to go with something like the .22-250.

Looks like accuracy isn't THAT BAD considering the cost of the upper. Maybe some more rounds down the tube and some work at the bench with various powders and bullets might shrink it a bit... other wise, looks accurate enough for a few hundred yards depending on the target.

Do you happen to know how the upper fits the Aero M5 lower?

Honestly was a little bummed because I was hoping for some issues to try and work though by hay ! :D

But as far as accuracy....I mean I was expecting worse with this barrel

No clue what those squiggles are . But ....when the complete upper with BCG was less then most people handguards ....well you be kinda dumb to expect something super nice lol

As far as AREO fitment....no idea . My lower is a PSA so I have to grind a bit on th back of the upper for it to fit ...but ...give it a rock solid fit

Holy Crap! That barrel looks really bad... I'm shocked it shoots as well as it does.

But hey, if it's working... drive on.

I can't figure out how bca makes stuff so cheap and it doesn't blow up in peoples faces. I have a couple stoner barrels that were super cheap and shoot pretty well and I'm thinking those are bca. I've been tempted sooo many times but haven't ordered anything from them yet.

They, BCA are part of Moore Machine(North Carolina) family relationships. Seems like MM as improved their barrel production the last few years. They supply several "manufactures" with barrels.
I'm hitting up friends for a DPMS gen 1 lower when I find one I will order a BCA 22-250 SS SC upper, probably 20".

we've got multiple Sub MOA BCA barrels in the family... as noted... for the price... its worth the risk!

and if they shoot like garbage you can either send em back, or just use the upper as a donor for a quality barrel - have done a few that way! you cant buy a upper, handguard & BCG for what they sell their complete uppers for.

and their newest handguards are actually quite lightweight, so they've fixed the needing to go on a diet issue they were known for in the past.
