STATTING TO KOAD MY 22-250 with varget powder and 55 grain nosler varmagedon bulletts. All I have is large rifle magnum primers. Good or bad? Yes or no?

Like Herbie said, gain the knowledge to answer that yourself.
Asking a www forum is sketchy at best.

I would start very carefully with the minimum load for Varget,
seated per the reloading manual on that projectile,
and watch for signs of over-pressure as the charge is gradually increased.
Confirm the muzzle speeds (via chrono) are generally matching estimated speeds from a manual.
You need to understand all of that fully, hence need for reloading manuals - yes plural.

Lots of good advice from the above gentlemen (at least I assume they're gentlemen!). All I can add is that I've shot easily 5,000 rounds of 22-250 with 36 grains of Varget, CCI 200 primers, and 55-grain Ballistic Tips with no issues. 3600 fps.

FWIW I used to shoot 37 grains of Varget, but backed it off to 36 grains because I didn't think the gophers and 'yotes would know the difference.

CCI 20o, Federal 210, or Rem 9 1/2 are better options than a magnum primer with Varget.

Start at 36g-37g...you will hit a home run with Sierra 55's.

good luck!

I did some load tests with 55gr BT's, Varget and winchester small rifle primers. Got good accuracy but not better than the load I was already shooting so I never chased it any more.

Never tried any other primers though.

They are fine. All I use anymore for large and small rifle are magnum. It just made it easier to to buy one primer. Around 36gr of varget is where it gets good.

For the most part, if not near max, the mag primers won’t be an issue. The 22-250, even at mid charges or less, has plenty to get most anything done. Of course, stay inside of published charge weights.
