22-6mm Rem.

Retumbo, IMO, would be miserable to try and use in such a small neck dia. Retumbo is a pretty "bulky" powder and I'm not sure you could get enough of it in the case without some serious crunching.

Ramshot Magnum would sure be a lot easier to work with and it's in that same burn rate. IMR also has their new 7977 powder that is supposed to be a very temp stable powder and is in that same burn rate range. RL33 is definitely on the slower end of the chart.

Ok, Alliant got back to me with what I figured. Here's their take on it.

Rich,
It is slower than Reloder-25, faster than Reloder-33.
Thanks,

Go figure. So, if I have time and a reamer this weekend maybe I'll get some loads put together with the 26 and shoot a little.

Retumbo meters pretty easy actually. It's no different than h4831. You do get a compressed load. But nothing wrong with that. I get the same thing in 300 win mag using retumbo and 230s

I'll probably have Retumbo in the line up. Seems to be no hurry now that the reamer probably won't be there when I get home Saturday. Seems anymore that with the USPS, 3 Day Priority mail has turned into " Ah, we'll get it to ya when we get it to ya!". It only had to come from one state over and they still couldn't get it done in 5 days.

Rich, things are getting a bit better for those of us that want to shoot polymer-tipped high BC 22 bullets downrange at coyotes. Sierra now has their 69 and 77 TMK's and I have had great accuracy out of the 80 A-Max from an 8T McGowen 22-250.

Woohoo, the USPS pulled it off and the reamer is in Challis waiting to be picked up. Looks like I might get to do a little testing this weekend after all.
