Friends and "Boys" American Night Hunters, what do you think of this brand new Hornady .22 Creedmoor caliber? This exceptional commercial ammunition has the flattest trajectory in the world ! At a distance of 500 yards (with a 200-yard zero), the bullet drops only 27.5 inches !!

Is this the best ammunition in the world for night hunting hogs, coyotes, jackals, foxes and vermin in general ?

In all likelihood, it is "the best" option in a number of ways for a SAMMI chambering and factory ammo.

But don't so much as imply that you might shoot out to 500 yards at night. We don't take kindly to that around here. :p

I have stretched it out to that distance several times and have dropped coyotes beyond 500 but it isn't easy and a little luck in your back pocket sure helps. The 22 creed would certainly do the job but many other do as well. It would help if you have your red cheerleader outfit with the big H on the front and #22 on the back! I see they are going to be available on Hornady’s website soon!

I couldn’t care less about bullet trajectory beyond 300 yards, for night hunting, and really pretty much the same for day time. My 22/250, 220 swift with 50 grain bullets will work just fine.

Dear American guys and professional night hunters, I have to give you 2 pieces of information: 1) Hornady should give me the red "cheerleader" ( thank you if you could explain to me what this means....) uniform with the big H on the front and the number 308 on the back! If Hornady knew how much I advertise Hornady commercial ammunition in Italy, Croatia and Romania! I use exclusively the Hornady Superformance caliber 308 150 grains sst (V0 = 3000 ft/s!) and the Superformance 168 grains Eld Match ... They are 2 simply fantastic ammunition, unmatched and unattainable! 2) In Italy, the minimum permitted caliber must have a bullet with a diameter of 5.6 mm and a case with a minimum length of 40 mm (basically from the .222 Remington caliber on up). Unfortunately, I will never be able to use your beautiful calibers for hunting predators: .17, .20, .204, 20-250... So I decided to use a single caliber, the .308W, the most widespread and reliable in the world. With this wonderful caliber, I shoot at everything: at 50 yards at a cardboard silhouette of a moving wild boar; hunting at night from 50 to 200 yards; during the day from 100 to 550 yards. There's no point in looking for new calibers; the .308W is the most versatile of all.

It means that some people like to hate on Hornady because of their success. They claim that Hornady doesn't provide anything innovative, they're just really good at marketing.
I am not in that camp.

What I love about Hornady is their Turn over rate of employees
