I recently acquired a 17 AH rifle.
I have reloading experience but not with a wildcat round. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Only 22 Hornet brass I have found is Hornady. Is reducing down the neck to .17 cal doable with Hornady brass?
Thanks Thomas

Just shoot 17 Hornady Hornet rounds in the rifle they should fire form to the Ackley Hornet case. I had a 22K Hornet. I shot 22 Hornet cartridge through it They fire formed and where really accurate

If it works I have an incredible recipe for your 17 Ackley I use this load in my 17 Hornet. Im cronograph ing 3800 with a Nosler 20 gr Hollow Point accuracy is great. 12.5 gr of N120. 205M. Id guess that in the 17 Ackley you could approach 3900. With the 15gr 3950. When I had my 22 Hornet rechambered to the 22K Hornet. With the 30 gr bereger i was at 3300. The Hornet Cartridges are underrated

Look forward to resizing my .22 H cases and working up loads. Waiting on the extended shell holder to come in. Thanks for the info.
