.22 Hornet

I've went with 40gr v-max lilgun and sp primers haven't had a chance to test on fur yet but they shoot well

In my experience I've never seen a Hornet that wasn't fur friendly!!!

The 40 grain Sierra h p is a tough bullet, probably too much for a hornet. The Sierra 40 grain hornet sp is a good hornet bullet over around 13 grains of Lil Gun. If you want to add some fun factor to the hornet try some Calhoon 30 grain hollow points over H110, gives a whole different perspective to the 22 Hornet. they will do a little over 3400 and wreck a praire dogs day.

don't under estimate the hornet,that thin jacketed bullet is a killing machine for some reason. Killed lots of deer with one to BTW

The Coyote in my avatar was shot with a Ruger M77 All Weather Hornet. I was shooting 40 grain sierra Blitzkings. EXTREMELY fur friendly out of the Hornet IMO.

Thanx for the ideas. Going to try some 45 gr SP's in it, as well as a box of the Hornady 35 gr V-Max and a few HP's that a buddy of mine gave me ( he shoots them in his).
