.22 LR seems a bit light. Or "The PD sprint for safety!"

AirRifleGuy,

Wowzers! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

Please tell me more about your AirRifle.

An AirRifle that will consistently, humanly kill RockChucks at 50yds & PDs at 90yds is something I gotta have. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

The farmers, nurserymen, etc.. don't care about humanely but I still try. Shoot 'em all is what they want and I also try.

Broke down and bought the savage today. The only place local I could find the vmax 22 mag rounds wants $20/box for them. That only left ordering them in or a 200 mile round trip to cabellas as options and I don't want to have to resort to that. I've been reloading for far too long to be OK with having a gun out of commission from not having ammo on hand.
Worst scenario I have now is "give me an hour and I'll be good to go"

Picked it up from wally world and learned something odd. I asked if they could get a savage in the .22 in and was told they could. But it was significantly more than the HMR. So we went through the book and checked prices down the line INCLUDING the HMR they had on the shelf. Found out that even if it's a 'stock' item, if they order it in it costs more than if the distributor just sends it to them. So my $170 rifle would have cost about $50 more if they were out and had to order it than if they're out and you just wait for one to show up.

The more you know, huh?
