.22 Nosler Barnes Load

Is anybody loading a .22 nosler with anything from Barnes? Almost have my rifle complete and was wanting to try something other than nosler bullets, which is about the only data ive come across. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest using the load data for another bullet of the same weight and begin at the starting charge and do a ladder test and work your way up watching for pressure signs. Ignore the swipes on the brass because you can't get around it with the rebated brass unless you convert to hagar brass and use an extended length gas system.

What powder and bullet do you plan on using? I can model it in quick load and suggest a charge weight.

Barnes bullets have their own loads and ballistics. Barnes doesn't recommend using anybody else's load data for their bullets.

I am surprised Nosler does not have any 55gr E-Tip bullet data for that caliber. I wonder if an email or phone call would take care of that?

That company makes excellent hunting bullets. Danged expensive though...

Barnes doesn’t have any posted data for .22 Nosler. Wanting to shoot 50 for varmint grenades or varminators. Also looking at loading something in the 70gr tsx.

Google up the contact information for Ty Herring at Barnes and send him a note. He may have some pointers on where to start.
