what is a good starting point for a good load for coyotes?

i can't give you a recipe, however of the "bullets" I've used I like Nosler BT, Berger Varmint, & Speer TNT the best. They all shoot very accurate and give terminal results. Bullet selection should be a good starting point

When I was running a 22 Nosler, 22" Proof carbon 8 twist barrel, suppressed, I used Nosler brass, CCI 450 primers, CFE223 powder, and Nosler 55 gr. BT bullets. Shot very well, similar to the Nosler factory loads.

It would be hard to beat the Nosler 55 BT, Hodgdon has a big list of powder data for the bullet.

I use CCI 450s, H4895, and a 50 grain NBT. Absolutely devastating on coyotes. Pretty similar to my 22-250s

I'm guessing you're not trying to save fur.
I have a 6mm Rem that I shoot a 55 gr BT at 4200 fps. Have you ever seen a gopher or P dog hit hard and fly into the air, spin, and land in a pile of parts? That's what it will do on a coyote.
