22 Suppressor?

I love my DDC Enticer so naturally I have been looking at their Road Hunter. However, I can't make up my mind between trying it or the Sparrow? Have any of you had any experience with the Road Hunter?

What 22 suppressor do you have, are you pleased?

I started with the Banish 22k (a free suppressor with the purchase of a banish 30) from Silencer Central and it’s not worth the cost of a tac stamp.

I just recently bought a Dead Air Mask due to the overwhelming reports of no first round pop out of a pistol. The reports are correct and I’m very pleased with the suppressor. I believe the Mask has better reviews than the Sparrow, with a pistol, based on my reading. I don’t think it really matters with a rifle.

I also have Dead air mask & i dont have any complaints, I shoot cci standard velocity most the time and you would swear it was sub sonic rounds.... if I remember correctly from the dilligent defense podcast with foxpro, they really talked up the road hunter and how it held up to there torture testing but it was based off the dead air mask design

I'm glad you posted this. I was just waiting for the next SC BOGO deal to get two 22k suppressors for my and my son's .22s. Maybe not such a good plan eh?

In my opinion it’s a horrible suppressor. Full disclaimer, I don’t like silencer central and their business practices. I have the banish 30 and the 22k and have found better suppressors that have taken their place. These were my first two suppressors and the bogo deal got me.

My main requirement for suppressors is sound suppression first and foremost. The 22k is loud and has a first round pop. On a pistol it’s loud. The only think the 22k has been decent for is shooting subs out of my bolt rifle. Supers still have a decent crack out of the rifle and I don’t find it pleasant to shoot.

@Duhhh
One good thing to consider is come the 2nd of Jan (you may file on the 1st but it won't be accepted until the 2nd, it's a holiday).
Is that now a new market may emerge "second hand suppressors" as the tax stamp prevented the market on used unloved suppressors.
Could maybe get enough to defray the cost of a suitable can for your purpose.

When it comes to .22 rimfire, the ease of take-down and ability to clean is way more valuable to me than 1 or 2 db. Even the weight isn't a huge factor. They are all light weight.
I've got an OG SiCo Sparrow. It's easily the one I put the most rounds down, but I've also got a SiCo Osprey Micro that I use on pistols when I want something a little shorter/lighter weight. Both are older designs, but do everything I would ever want a rimfire suppressor to do.

If I didn't already own both, I'd be getting a Q 22 Erector but I can't justify the purchase when I already have 2.

I have a HuxWrx Flow 22Ti. It’s the only Rimfire suppressor I’ve ever used so nothing to compare it to. I’ve used it on my CZ 457 22Mag, Tikka T1X 22lr and my Ruger MarkIV…I have zero complaints.
It’s a flow through design, but idk how much difference or benefit that is with Rimfire.
I like that it’s direct thread and super simple to install/remove. It’s also extremely lightweight.

Pew science is a good place to check for performance ratings…My 1st choice was the DA Mask, but it was back ordered. My shop had the Hux in stock so just went with that…I think the Sparrow is good choice as well.

The Dead Air Mask makes this thing sound like a staple gun.

I'll chime in. I have a dd road hunter. Absolutely takes shooting rimfire to the next level of fun. Im sure that goes for the other rimfire cans too. Its light, it is easy to clean, its quiet, and it looks sweet. 20250321_123706.jpg20250321_124324.jpg
