From what I've read the manufacturers are working around the clock trying to keep up with the demand. Obama has really screwed things up with his Second Ammendment threats. If you listened to his Inaugrial speach he promised to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States". We don't believe him. We are panicing. I don't trust him, either.

Yes, what you say is true. Here is a reply I got from Hornady:

RE: Current Product Availability/Demand/Deliveries
The past four months have been an interesting time in the firearms industry. Hornady Manufacturing, with almost all the other companies supplying shooting and hunting products, has experienced record growth, on top of three previous years of record growth. While we do enjoy this position compared to what several other industries are currently experiencing, our demand levels have increased significantly over what we can physically produce.
We are experiencing a barrage of phone calls, emails, and purchase orders. While most of the communication is friendly and understanding, we also receive a significant number that are not. These range from questions about whether we are still in business, to suspicion that we, in one way or another, are discriminating against one of our valued customers. There is nothing further from the truth. Please know that no one wants to ship more complete during this time than we do.
We are adjusting space, staff, computers, shifts, and overtime, as rapidly as possible while remaining rational and prudent. We are also at the mercy of our vendors who are facing the same level of increased demand and struggling to supply us and our competitors with raw materials. Yet we are leaving business on the table because we simply cannot keep up. We also understand that this affects you, and we sincerely apologize.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience. We don’t know when this will get better, so please bear with us a little longer, and rest assured we will have a nice line up of new products ready when the market shifts.
