222 Contender load data

Anybody have load data and velocity for 222 in 10 inch and 14 inch Contender barrels. Would appreciate especially for 40 gr but others as well, thx in advance

Being a fan of the 222 and having loaded for it for years, I'd suggest using book data with the faster burning powders, 4198, AA 2015 and Reloader 7.

You might want to check the Accurate Arms book, they show some good loads in the 222 with 1680 and the 40gr NBT which should transfer to any other 40gr. Start low and work up.

In my 20" barrels I use AA 2230 and Win 748 slightly slower powders.

Real world experience the shorter the barrel the faster the powder.

The Hornady 11th Edition has a whole section of data for the Contender 222 Rem with a 10" barrel.
