.222 Rem vs. .223 Rem

I have two .222's and a .223. Noise is the same.
[qb] I currently own a Weatherby Super Predator Master in .223 and like the round, but I recently acquired a Blaser R93, which accepts multiple caliber barrels. My intent was to sell my hunting rifles and have one gun with multiple barrels. I have a choice between .222 or .223 with the Blaser. I hunt in a semi-residential area and I'm concerned with report noise. I noticed the .222 round itself does not measure up to the .223 ballistically, but does that mean it possibly quieter? Thanks. I hunted pdogs today with a friend of mine. I was using a .223 and he was using a .222.
Noise-wise, I sure couldn't tell any difference.

My first gun was a 222 & loved it. Then years later I got a 223 700 w/ 4X12 Simmions. Good gun, shot several g'hogs around 300yds. Then I used it in a trade for an AR15. Not my type of a g'hog gun, it's gone. Then one day I picked up an old 722 in 222. It has become my main g'hog getter. Many of my farms I hunt border the corporation limits. I've had not complaints about the noise. I don't use the 222 much past 275yds. It'll hit there, but doesn't have the punch I like. Personally I hope to never be w/o a 222, but as for the 223 I could care less. My $.02

I think it was Jim Carmichle who said if he had to choose between the two, he'd take the 223 and run. Not a bad choice between them. the 223 is just a little more.
I don't think in comparable rifles many shooters could show a accuracy difference.

I would say stay with the 223 because it is a military cartridge. accuracy is very good as good as a 222. my 223 will shoot clover leafs all day long at 200 yds if i do my part. I say 223 because i reload and brass is plentiful and cheep.
