I shoot 40g vmax with 21g of IMR-4198, win case, cci 400, 3500fps, and .25" 3 shot groups at 100 yards. This is what I mainly use and it has worked very well for me on varmints and coyotes out to 300 yards. Haven't lost a coyote yet with them, bet I've shot around 15 or so.
19g IMR-4198 w/55g nbt also shoots pretty good, .5" at 3100fps.
24.5g IMR-4895 w/55g hornady SX shoots very very good at 3200fps.
For some reason, my rifle dont like 50g bullets.
Sounds like you have excellent loads.
I've never tried any 40 grain bullets in either of my 222's, but have in a 223. That Sierra 40 grain Blitz shot great. If you have an opportunity, try some.
