I dont know if it really makes much difference with neck tension or not.

It makes no difference.. I have loaded bullets into necks that were seated 0.020 (twenty thou) and they shot one hole groups.

The 300 Winchester Magnum's neck isn't even one caliber long, and it has won more 1,000 yard matches than all other calibers put together.

If you have a caliper,,Measure your case neck immediately after sizing...Seat the bullet and measure the case neck again...Hopefully, you will have an increase of .003-.004" difference between the two measurements....

If you have less than that, or no increase, you have a problem with your expander ball size...

OP's post stated when he got to book COL, the bullet fell into the case. I was assuming he was seating the bullet past the ogive, hence my comment on seating only the depth of the bullet diameter. FWIW?

I got it, I wasn't getting the bullet all the way up in my sizing doe and therefore the whole neck wasn't getting resized. I've honestly never had that issue before. As a matter of fact I reloaded some .222 ammo the week prior when the gun was at my place and worked well. Just goes to show you that you always have to double check everything.

I received great advice and learned a ton. Thanks guys. Sorry it was just my screw up.
