I just got a 223 rechambered, now the tough part. Where do I find some load data. I am wanting to use H335 and a Sierra 1365 55 grain SBT.

Just have to work it up and create your own data. Start at the max charge for 223 with your bullet powder combo, and go until you see pressure signs.

I ususally work up in 1/2 grain increments and watch my chrony numbers. Usually I will se my velocity level off and stop rising just bfore the pressure signs start showing up.

I have two 223 AI's, one with a 12 twist and the other with a 14 twist.

Y0u are going to see some velocities that you are not going to believe.

Use a tough primer such as a REm 7 1/2, CCI BR-4, or a CCI450...you will be sorry if you do not!

Since barrels and lot# of powder are different, not to mention you did not state your twist rate, I would start and fire form some cases. Then start off at 25.0g of H335 with one bullet and one bullet only. Increase your powder charge .5g on each additional round until you start to see the slightest pressure signs, then STOP.

Back off 2.0g from where you saw pressure and load three shot groups, you will find your accuracy load real quick using this method.

You should expect to see all bullets opening up a bullet hole if the wind and your table techniques are good. I hope to work with my 14" twist this weekend, and will get back to you on what my rifle likes.

My normal load is with N135, 7 1/2's, with the 55g nosler ballistic tip at 3550-3600 out of a 23" barrel...not to shabby(another 100 fps out of the 27" barrel)
Stay tuned, I'll get back to you in a PM.

I am pretty sure 35.0 gr of H335 is way too much powder!

You're on the right track. Not sure (speedwise) where you'll end up with 55's, but 50's at 3600+ is easily attained in the 223ai's I've loaded for.

My AI happens to have a 24 inch barrel with a 1-14 twist. My favorite loads are 28 grains of H335 with a 50 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip and 30 grains of H335 with a 40 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip. This is good for about 3600 fps and 3900 fps. Pressures seem to be quite mild in my gun. I got these loads from Steve Timm who likely knows more about the .223 Ackley than anyone alive.

Anyway, both will shoot less than half inch at 100 yards in my gun. I bet that you will have good luck with them as well.
