.223 favorite coyote loads?

I guess I am the odd duck here but my bolt gun I am running around 24 grains of Varget under a 77 grain sierra matchking. Its unreal the difference in anchoring them vs lighter bullets. At night out of my AR with a chance of a fox or yote I run a lighter bullet 52 grain matchking over H322.

Classic load that works in several of my 223s.

If you want to get the 40gr bullets over 4K fps, have your chamber reamed to 223 Improved and use a friction-reducing coating like HBN, Moly, or Danzac. Win 748 is a hard powder to beat for all around bullet weight use! Burns dirty, but that's why they make Hoppe's

I shot 21.6grs. of IMR 4198 for years, with a 55gr. V-Max bullet. It runs around 3185fps. and sure put alot of fur on the ground. That was before I went to faster/lighter bullet loads, and after years of trying everything, guess what I'm back to shooting out of the 223's? LOL! Ron

Not so odd

My preference is the 75gr BTHP over H4895 or Varget.

My favorite 223 load is a 40 grain Nosler ballistic tip over a healthy dose of Benchmark. I believe velocity is your friend, if you want to shoot heavier bullets get a bigger gun.

I've had good luck with 27g of H4895 and a 50 g v-max, I also like 26.5g of h4895 with a 55g sierra gameking hp. 26g of h4895 behind a 60g sierra varminter works well too. As you can see I like H4895, all were using win primers as well. My rifle is a ruger M77 mII with a 1-12 twist rate. My groups with the above mentioned loads are all under an inch at 100 yards. The H4895 just plain works in my rifle, doesn't seem to matter what bullet I try, it will shoot if I use that powder.

Can't find the reference, but I remember reading that it wasn't available for purchase.

I hunt with this guy Jerry that posted this on a thread, I was shooting Black hills blue box 69 gr. matchking hp's out of my 18" ar 1/9 and they would hold up a great group all day long but the exit wound would be huge but after shooting his load only one small entry and DRT. I didn't even have to adjust mt scope after changing to a diffrent load.

The Superformance powder was supposed to be available in mid January.

Well how 'bout that. There little data sheet doesn't list .223 rem loads though. Weird.
