.223 Fiocchi 50gr V-Max

I found a great deal on the 40g v Max and shoot them out of my RRA entry tactical with m4 16in brl. No kills with it yet but its Very accurate did this to a steel plate 8in wide about 80 yrd half way free hand not taking my time.. these are entry holes. The pulled back metal is the jacket the holes are about 1/4in.. if you look close u can see the spots where I shot it with 230gr 45acp

After finding them on sale for $20 a box I decided to try them. After finding out how good they would shoot I went and bought 10 more boxes of them. If you figure that you are paying $40 a hundred for these, you cant buy the components and load them up for this price.

They shoot good but there are a few reports of the flash hole being off center. So not great for reloading the brass. Out of a box of 50 I had 4 or 5 with off center flash holes. Just a heads up if you plan on reloading any casings.

Compaired to other factory loads that offer the V-Max these are a steel. And Rustydog23 says they shoot well. They may not be as fast as some others but for me thats fine I wont be shooting over 300yds anyways.

That price is too good to pass up.... so I bought 6 boxes of 40 gr... I guess you guys bought all the 50 gr... because they were out. Not sure how 40gr will shoot in my savage 12 with a 1-9 twist... we'll see... any thoughts on that...?

I have a gun that shoots them into a small oval hole. I don't plan on buying any more because I like the brass to reload, and the off center holes upset me.

Just saying thank you guys for turning me onto 223 Fiocchi ammo. By the time i got to Midway for their deal... all they had was 40 gr... BUT.... they shoot SUPER out of my savage 12.... they group inside a dime all the time... way better than the 55 gr bullets that i had left over from Pdog hunting... don't even know what they are... but I love these Fiocchi... just sorry I didn't buy more than 6 boxes... if anyone sees this deal again... please let me know... thanks again....Dan

These fiochi are about the best deal going on good hunting load.

I have tried the 40 and 50 out of 2 guns and both hovered around moa with some groups a little better. I'm not much of a bench shooter so they can probably do alot better.

I think I have shot about 4 or 5 boxes of them. Don't reload so i don't care about the brass.

I have now switched over to hornaday 55 gr. SP in the 50 round box at Cabelas. They go on sale for about the same price as the Fiochi sometimes. They shoot even better out of my tikka.

Sometimes Black Hills 55 gr SP blue box goes on sale at cabelas too. Its also an excellent deal.

I got the cabelas credit card. I use the points to buy the ammo. Wait till they have free shipping if you spend 100 bucks. Plus there is no tax if there is no cabelas in your state.

The discover card is even better. You can take your cash back as cabelas gift cards. You get a 50 dollar card for 30 bucks. Combine all of that together you could be paying like 25 cents a round for that fiochi and in a way its free.

half the price.....? I paid 18.00 for 50 rds... and I just realized where i can get somemore for the same price, with 5.00 shipping... i need to get more at that price...

can you even reload at that price...?
